Sadly no nighttrains this time as I was visiting Paris, which could rightly call itself the capital of high-speed trains. There are direct connections to major European cities such as London, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Brussels. Besides London, Paris is also probably the best city for cocktail bars. The Little Red Door and the Experimental Cocktail Club are perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or alone. With great menus and good recommendations, you'll feel right at home. Hopefully next time I can try a French night train departing from Paris.
